'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2': Josh Hutcherson Won't Miss Bleaching His Hair, Blonde Hair Was Not 'His Thing'
Josh Hutcherson plays the role of Peeta Mellark in “The Hunger Games” franchise. In his recent interview, the actor revealed what he hated most about the film and what he will miss about the franchise now that it is coming to an end with “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2.”
Josh revealed that getting his hair “re-dyed and bleached” was not his thing and “he is excited” that he will no longer have to sport bleached hair, reported ABC News. During the shoot of the film, Josh’s hair had to be retouched several times and this is probably something the actor did not like.
In the film, Josh’s character Peeta is the male tribute who represents District 12 in the 74th annual Hunger Games. He participates in the game with Jennifer Lawrence’s character Katniss Everdeen. Peeta and Katniss go against the rules of the game and give rise to a rebellion in Panem. Peeta’s spouse is Katniss.
In “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2” Peeta, Gale, Finnick and Katniss will plan the assassination of President Snow. Meanwhile, Josh also said that though he might not have liked getting his hair bleached, he will miss the team of Hunger Games. “When you are filming, it's 12 plus hours a day for months at a time. It's kind of sad, because you had such a great time making them, now it's coming to a close,” he said as reported by Cinemablend. However, the actor added that with the franchise coming to an end, everyone is moving to new things.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2” is scheduled to be released on Nov. 20, 2015. Francis Lawrence has directed the film and it features screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. The film is based on the novel “Mockingjay” by Suzzane Collins and it stars Lawrence, Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Robert Knepper, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Late Philip Seymour Hoffman and Donald Sutherland. The film was shot in Paris, Berlin and Atlanta and is expected to prove a big box office success like its prequel “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1.” The film will be released in IMAX 3D format.
