Katy Perry is not giving up on love above despite the much talked about failed marriage she had with Russell Brand.

The 'Wide Awake' singer is said to be dating the guitarist of Florence + The Machine, Robert Ackroyd. "I still believe in love, most definitely. I'm just going to let that take the lead," Perry said in an interview promoting her upcoming 3D movie.

It was in the 3D movie which she co-produced that showed her softer side and how affected she was during the low times of her marriage which led to divorce. Perry's former hubby, Brand, is seen in some scenes but by the end, Brand's presence was lessened to some phone and mobile messages.

According to Katy Perry, the most important thing that the film will show is that she is just an ordinary person just like the rest when not under the spotlight. She made it sure that the movie will not just evolve around the most difficult things of her life but also have a balanced share of her life's most exciting moments.

The 27-year-old singer also said that all of her fans have served as her dependable support system through all the obstacles she needed to overcome. She emphasized that her fans did not merely replace all the emptiness she was feeling at the emotional level during times when her marriage with Brand was on the rocks.

Perry said that it was her fans who first believed in her, when the labels were not convinced of her artistic vision. It was in the smaller venues then where she got to play her songs and since then, she has always felt the sincere support of her followers. In short, she said that if there is anyone who has always been there all this time, it is her fans from then until now.
