Westlife Members Became Emotional On Final Gig After 14 years
The former glory that was once was that of Westlife has come to a curtain call. Westlife gave their all for their last performance as a boy band held at Dublin's Croke Park.
The audience reached about 80,000 as the Irish band performed for their farewell show. Its members, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne sang their hearts out with all the hits they made during the high times of their career.
Kian shouted out to the crowd that they made their last show to see all their fans for the final time after 14 years. Mark added that it was their fans who made all their dreams come true and so they thought it just right to dedicate the final show to them.
"You're not just our fans, you are our friend and have been with us each step of the way," Feehily shouted.
Their ex-manager, Louis Walsh was the one who introduced them and expressed his own regrets as well with the band breaking up. He revealed that he did not want the members to end up their run as a boy band but he will still manage Shane as he pursues a solo career.
It was last year when Westlife announced the breakup of the band.

Westlife is one of the few boybands that was able to sell 44 million albums, with 14 singles ranked as number ones. Before they all discovered they were meant to sing as one group, they once lived their ordinary lives. Nicky wanted to become a professional football player, Shane was into accounting and business, Kian was a worker in a jeans store, while Mark was a mere pizza boy who dreams of becoming a singing sensation.
They were all able to invest on luxurious cars and big houses and became part of the rich and famous. They fell off rank when Shane was declared bankrupt due to a business fail in real estate.
