Ex-couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev spent their weekend attending the Vampire Diaries panel at the 2013 Comic Con International in San Diego, California. Attention of the fans and media were focused on Ian and Nina after their breakup but the pair appeared to have a pleasant reunion at the event with co-stars Paul Wesley, Kat Graham and Candice Accola.

The Vampire Diaries cast members were at the annual Comic Con for the panel Q&A portion to promote Season 5 of the CW TV drama series. Captured images of Ian and Nina show that they are still comfortable with each other as they maintained a friendly but professional atmosphere at the event.

During the Q&A portion, Nina jokingly responded to a question "Is there anyone Elena hasn't made out with?" and an event attendee shouted "Me!" Afterwards, Ian jokingly quipped "Give me your number. I'll set you up."

Additionally, EntertainmentWeekly reports the Vampire Diaries cast revealed the upcoming season's new storyline where Elena chose Damon. "I thought they were joking. Damon never gets the girl. It's always Stefan," Ian declared.

Paul Wesley, who portrays Stefan Salvatore, quickly responded with a laugh: "Don't underplay your sexy blue eyes. Don't downplay the Smolder-halder. Enjoy it buddy. I did it for three years." After the panel discussion, the cast members spent their evening at EntertainmentWeekly's Annual Comic Con celebration held in the Hard Rock Hotel.

However, the E! News report contradicts the pleasant reunion of Ian and Nina at the 2013 Comic Con and claimed there was tension in the air between Ian and Nina as they avoid each other in the press room. "Ian showed up and Nina showed up shortly after. She saw Ian was right in front of her and went away, then came back a little later so they were spaced out a bit more during press-line interviews," an anonymous insider revealed.
