Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev Ready to Reunite, Be Civil on the Vampire Diaries Set [PHOTOS]
Filming for the Vampire Diaries Season 5 is currently in progress with main stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev returning on the Atlanta set. The ex-couple are reportedly ready to reunite and work on a civil manner with each other for the latest season of the hit CW TV series after ending their 3-year relationship.
"Nina and Ian are back in touch after several months spent apart. They are doing everything possible to keep things as least awkward as possible," an insider revealed to Celeb Dirty Laundry. The pair will be seeing each other more often on the set and it has ignited some rumours of a possible reconciliation.
Nina' return to work on the fifth season of Vampire Diaries has been confirmed on her Twitter account. The actress revealed that she is reunited with a cast member but it was not Ian Somerhalder.
"Back to School - first day of shooting The Vampire Diaries Season 5 w/ miss @CandiceAccola ! :)" Nina wrote on her Twitter account @ninadobrev with an attached WhoSay image of actress Candice on the set holding up the TV show's clapper board.
However, Nina did not mention anything about crossing paths with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder on the set and neither did he. The shared image only shows the crew members on the background busily setting up the Vampire Diaries set.
The Vampire Diaries filming team maintains that there will be no awkward moment whatsoever when Ian and Nina get together to film for the TV series. Even Nina's good friend Colton Haynes assured that the ex-couple will be just fine working together on the set.
The Teen Wolf actor shared in an EntertainmentWise interview: "I think you become really good friends with that person when you see them everyday anyway so I think they obviously knew that getting into a relationship. Every time you're in a relationship when you get out of one I always think you still have a little bit of love left. They have their own things going on and I think that they can get past the troubles."
