Ian Somerhalder shares picture with Nikki Reed as his favourite moment of 2016

“The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder is going strong with wife Nikki Reed. While most of the Hollywood stars were seen partying on New Year's Eve, Ian shared a picture on social media, where he was seen enjoying the holidays with his wife on the beach.

On Monday, Ian Somerhalder posted a picture on his official Instagram page. He was seen lying to next to Nikki Reed and enjoying a quiet moment on the beach. The caption said that it was Ian’s “favorite moment of 2016.” He further wished his fans a happy new year on behalf of his family, “Happy New Year to every and all. From my family to yours.”

Nikki Reed of “Twilight” fame was clad in a green bikini, which flaunted her well-toned body. Ian was wearing a pair of white shorts that he teamed with a hat. They were lying on the beach and gazing towards the sea. The couple appeared to enjoy the holidays in each other’s company and within the peaceful surroundings.

In December 2016, the couple went out for lunch with Nikki’s mother, Cheryl. They enjoyed the family time in West Hollywood. Cheryl appeared very friendly towards her son-in-law. “After the meal, all three of the tight-knit family members leaned in for a group hug before leaving the restaurant,” reported the Daily Mail.

The couple will be coming up with a new series for the CW as producers of “Transcience.” They are going to develop the series with Warner Bros for the TV network. It is written by award-winning screenwriter Thomas Brandon, who will also supervise the work of the show.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed will resume their respective work after the holidays.
