Media and fans are still figuring out what really went wrong in Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's relationship. Another round of reports recently surfaced claiming that the couple decided to part ways because the 24-year-old actress is not yet ready for the serious commitment of marriage.

Playing another factor in Ian and Nina's break-up is the age difference of 10 years. The 34-year-old actor is reportedly ready to settle down while the "Vampire Diaries" brunette beauty is obviously not comfortable with the idea.

Mindset difference is now the culprit behind the ended Ian and Nina love story. "Ian was starting to talk marriage while Nina's just getting started on her career. Nina still loves him but isn't ready to make that huge commitment," an anonymous insider revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Another unnamed insider shared to Us Weekly magazine that Nina Dobrev does not want to be fully committed at her age. "She felt it was too early to take things to the next level," the source stated. Though the magic question was never asked to Nina, she still gave her response.

It appears that both parties are enjoying their single life at the moment. Ian Somerhalder is busy traveling from one country to the other and focusing on his foundation and upcoming projects.

On the other hand, Nina Dobrev enjoyed the long Memorial Day weekend with her girlfriends at the beach. The actress further revealed on her "WhoSay account" that she enjoyed as well the "little late night lovin'" after her girls' night out on Sunday, May 26.

Despite the split, close friends of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev maintain that the two will still remain good friends and the break-up will not be a problem in the filming of the "Vampire Diaries" Season 5.
