Boredom from waiting at the airport apparently caused "Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder to make a humorous post on Twitter. In the Entertainmentwise report, the 34-year-old actor shared an Instagram photo of himself next to the Esquire magazine cover that features "The Ides of March" actor George Clooney with a mischievous caption.

Ian Somerhalder noticed the direction that the 52-year-old actor was looking at on the magazine's front cover so he decided to have a little harmless fun with it. The TV actor placed his magazine image next to Mr Clooney's and wrote on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder on Monday, Nov 25, the caption that reads: "Doesn't it like George Clooney is admiring my pussy? I think he is... #liveinairports http://instagram.com/p/hGthGnqJ9w/."

In the shared Instagram photo, the pussy that Mr Somerhalder was referring to is his pet cat, Moke, sitting comfortably around his shoulders. Of course, Ian's thousands of fans found his image and caption hilarious.

Aside from Moke, Ian Somerhalder has shared as well an image where he poses with his buddies during a weekend hangout in New York City, according to the WetPaint report. One pal happens to be an indie rock artist. The "TVD" actor posted an Instagram image with the following caption: "Me & @butchhogan and one of my greatest brothers- the one and only Conor Oberst- loving #nyc."

Somerhalder appears to be a huge fan of Conor Oberst and his work as the founder, guitarist, singer and songwriter of the Omaha-based band Bright Eyes. Back in March, Ian tweeted his praises for Conor's poetic and compelling music lyrics.

"As sung by my brother Conor Oberst: 'slipping steadily into madness, now that's the only place to be free.' Thanks for that one Stones...," the actor wrote. Then in May, Ian shared a link to the band's "Ladder Song" with the supportive caption that reads: "Conor Oberst-you're not only a brother but lyrical shaman. Watch this stop motion animation of this amazing tune-listen."

In the meantime, fans can catch Ian Somerhalder as vampire Damon Salvatore in the brand new episodes for CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 that airs Thursday nights at 8 pm ET on the CW Network.
