Actor Ian Somerhalder shared to his millions of fans on Twitter and Instagram the fun he experienced at the 2014 Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The "Vampire Diaries" actor and "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus served as Grand Marshals during the annual carnival parade on the Krewe of Endymion held on Saturday, March 1, where the TV stars also had fun throwing beads to the crowd.

Ian and Norman both looked they were in the mood to have a blast at the Louisiana event as the TV stars handed out the colourful beads and danced along to the music in their separate floats that moved throughout the city.

According to the Entertainmentwise.com report, the 35-year-old TVD star sported a dapper look with his trilby hat and full tux. Mr Somerhalder has been posting on his social media sites about his excitement to be part of the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

"NEW ORLEANS WE'RE COMING HOME! Is this really happening?!?!? Damon and I as Co-Grand Marshal of ENDYMION tomorrow in the Big Easy. Thank you to the Krewe Of Endymion, the CW, Warner Brothers as well as my family and friends-that means you all-Everyone on the streets or under my roof! The heartthrob actor also shared on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder an image of himself inside the float carrying the name of the hit CW TV series.

Ian Somerhalder still has the Mardi Gras weekend fun back in Atlanta when he posted a selfie with the caption claiming he is now missing the event. "Damon contemplating life after a lonnnnnnng weekend in New Orleans. I miss you #mardigras," the actor wrote. Click HERE to see the Instagram photo.
