Actor Ian Somerhalder further builds up the excitement of the waiting "Vampire Diaries" fans with a behind-the-scenes video shared on Instagram. The brief video shows the heartthrob actor at the Atlanta set filming for the upcoming Season 5 of the successful CW TV drama series.

"Grown ups playing with toys like kids AKA film making...;)" Mr Somerhalder posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with the Instagram link http://instagram.com/p/dnEu4KqJ3j/# where fans can watch the video.

The behind-the scenes video shows a vintage Mustang, some spinning cameras and two unidentified actors filming inside the vehicle. Ian Somerhalder, who portrays vampire character Damon Salvatore, made a brief teasing appearance at the end of the video in front of the spinning car.

Mr Somerhalder currently devotes his time working on the "Vampire Diaries" Season 5 episodes. The 34-year-old actor even expressed his love for the TVD cast and crew that early morning wake up calls does not bother him at all. "Do what love-love what you do. Love these damn people. #TVD cast&cree truly amazing people," Ian wrote on Twitter.

However, Ian confessed that it is not really that easy or cool to portray character Damon Salvatore because he ends up feeling really hurt or crying off the set. The Digital Spy reports Ian Somerhalder finds portraying Damon Salvatore "brutal" with a personal and emotional effect on him.

"It's not always fun. Sometimes it's brutal and I'll walk off set and I'll cry for ten minutes alone in my trailer and I look at myself in the mirror and go, 'What the hell are you doing? Why are you crying in the trailer?Go have a coffee or something' but for me, that's acting - that's what I do every day. It's pretty weird," the actor shared.

In the mean time, it appears Damon Salvatore will have a very interesting storyline for the upcoming "Vamprie Diaries" Season 5 after Elena Gilbert, portrayed by actress and ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev, profess her love for him. "The Vampire Diaries" cast will return for a brand new and exciting season starting on October 3 at the CW Television Network.
