Ian Somerhalder busily films brand new episodes for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 as vampire Damon Salvatore, but the heartthrob actor can still have a break and show a mischievous side on the "TVD" set. In the social networking site Instagram, Ian Somerhalder shared a photo with a caption that reveals his stealing plan.

"Live from the Vampire Diaries Prop Truck-I snuck in @joeprops. I was looking to steal some @joesstickystuff ;)," Ian wrote as a caption to the Instagram photo he shared to his millions of fans. The image shows Ian wearing a shocked expression and his hand over his mouth while posing in the "TVD" prop truck in front of a sign that reads "WARNING: WATCH FOR VAMPIRES."

What was it that Ian Somerhalder wanted to steal? According to the WetPaint report, Joe's Sticky Stuff is an "aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive tape" that can be used in hanging up items on the walls or keeping the rugs from slipping.

Joe Connolly, the "prop master" on the CW TV series, responded to the silly image that Ian Shared. Mr Connolly wrote using his Twitter account @joeprops: "There's no way you would keep looking with all that in the way. :-)."

Moreover, Mr Somerhalder took to his Instagram account another image of himself raising a glass to celebrate a special occasion. "Congratulations BILL!!! Cheers to you - Huge congrats to @billmckibben on his @green4ema award at the #2013EMAs!!," the actor posted on Saturday, Oct 19.

Ian expressed his happiness for author Bill McKibben winning the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the event and showed his support, since Mr McKibben extensively wrote about the impact of global warming, an environmental issue that the "TVD" actor is known to have a deep advocacy for.

Aside from acting, Ian Somerhalder has also showed dedication to his own foundation called Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF) that creates awareness on global conservation, green energy development and even animal rights. It appears the hectic "Vampire Diaries'" filming schedule kept Ian Somerhalder from attending the "Environmental Media Association" ceremony.
