On Thursday, October 17, "Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder made a guest appearance on "Live with Kelly & Michael" where he revealed the story behind his girl Nietzche's pregnancy. The heartthrob actor gave a hint as well that will certainly disappoint the TVD fans: the Delena romance is not going to last.

Mr Somerhalder rescued the wandering dog near the TVD set and scheduled her to get spayed, but the actor's assistant gave him a phone call to deliver the pregnancy news. "My assistant calls and goes, 'Are you sitting down?' I said, 'No. Don't tell me the dog died, the anesthesia, something. I went to the bad parent place'," Ian recounted during his interview in "Live with Kelly & Michael."

The 34-year-old actor further shared: "They opened her up to spay her and there were all these little puppies in there. The vets were like 'Sew her up! Close her, close her!'" Fortunately, all of the puppies were healthy when Nietzche delivered them with Ian expressing his excitement and pride of becoming the owners of the adorable canine bunch.

As for the new "Vampire Diaries" season, Ian Somerhalder hinted that the onscreen romance of his character Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) "won't last." The actor stated to hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan: "You can't be too happy in Mystic Falls," "He got the girl, finally. It's cute, man. You've got this guy who's a maniacal killer, with the same look on his face whether he's saving a kitten from a tree or ripping your face off, and he's in love. It's cute. And it's not going to last, probably."

Furthermore, it appears trouble is just starting up for Damon in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 with the arrival of new character named Tessa (Janina Gavankar) where she delivers the distressing news on the Salvatore brothers.

"Tessa knows all. She's about to drop a bomb on Damon and Stefan, whether they want to hear it or not, which they don't. Most people don't want to know what she knows, but she's about to make them face the truth. She's like, 'Listen, sit down, because I'm about to handle things the way that I need to'," Ms Gavankar shared to HollywoodLife.com.
