Actor Ian Somerhalder continues to tease the "Vampire Diaries" fans about the end of his vampire character, Damon Salvatore. The 35-year-old heartthrob actor initially did it with the image of Damon's gravestone shared on Twitter and Instagram and now Ian Somerhalder is doing it again with his 2014 Teen Choice Awards nomination.

"All right you amazing teens-Im just realizing that this may be my last time at http://www.teenchoiceawards.com for #TVD Vote away-ill see you there," Ian Somerhalder posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder on Thursday, July 3. The fans are hoping that the TVD star is just playing around especially with the "last time" part on his tweet.

At the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, Ian Somerhalder is nominated in the TV Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy category together with his co-star Paul Wesley. The Salvatore brothers are up against "The Originals" actor Joseph Morgan, "Once Upon a Time" actor Josh Dallas and "Teen Wolf" actor Tyler Posey in the Teen Choice category.

Ian Somerhalder's posts about his TVD character sounds like he has accepted Damon's fate and he is saying goodbye. However, the fans can hold on to what executive producer Julie Plec revealed about the bad boy vampire of the show.

According to Plec, fans can still see Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham as Damon and Bonnie in "The Vampire Diaries" because there are a million different ways to make the two characters appear following the collapse of the Other Side. Meanwhile, the Wet Paint report has Ian Somerhalder wishing that there are two versions of him because it has something to do with his busy schedule and not with the doppelganger storyline on "The Vampire Diaries."

"Sometimes I wish that there were 2 of Me!" the actor wrote as a caption to the shared image on Instagaram. Ian Somerhalder even noted down that he needs rejuvenation to happen. Click HERE to see photo.

Somerhalder revealed that so much is happening for him all at once such as getting back from the ISF (Ian Somerhalder Foundation) meetings in Toronto after Washington DC testimony, interviews, reading script after script, phone calls, emails, signing documents and taking care of his pets. "I feel like a shell of Ian Somerhalder, but I feel more fulfilled and more inspired to keep going. Compressed air enriched with oxygen should do the trick I think. Great things to come. Watch out- the future is bright;better get your sunglasses..." Ian posted on Instagram.

The actor's schedule is about to become more hectic because filming on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will begin on Monday, July 7. The CW TV series' new season is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night, Oct 2, at 8 pm.
