After denying rumours of turmoil between her and her team, Iggy Azalea finally broke her silence about postponing her “The Great Escape” tour, which was originally scheduled to kick off next month. Azalea explains she wants her fans to "get their money’s worth" when they come to see her show.

The Aussie rapper sat down with AMP Radio’s Michelle & Booker to explain that her first arena tour is a big undertaking and that it takes an ample amount of effort and time to build the stage and do creative direction. She addressed that the original date for her tour was April, but the production team has not started building."To get this stage built in time I would be making a lot of sacrifices and cuts and changes," Azalea said. That being given, the “Fancy” singer was caught in between two options -- to keep the original dates but not be able to do the show she envisioned for her fans or move it and have “the absolute best show.”

The Grammy nominee then reportedly decided to go with the latter as she didn’t want to have an "average tour with a normal stage," adding that an “alright” concert is not the standard she is trying to set. She hopes that her fans, the Azaleans, would understand why she had to make them wait a little longer to see her perform live, as she only wanted them to have a show that was worth the price they paid for their tickets.

As for her hiatus in social media, Azalea dished that she still have all her social accounts, only that her management has taken over to update posts. She thinks that trying to please everyone reaches a point where it becomes “detrimental,” and that she tries to avoid being held back where only other people’s opinion in the cyberworld matters. "I really want to be focused on what I'm doing and I felt like that was getting to a point where it was taking away my focus or taking away my positive energy, sucking it into this negative space that I don't want to be in," she said.
