Iggy Azalea's 'The Great Escape Tour' Postponed Till September, Nick Jonas And Tinashe No Longer Part Of It - Reports
Iggy Azalea's upcoming tour is in jeopardy. The 24-year-old Australian rapper postponed her “The Great Escape Tour” by five months and there is speculation in the media that Nick Jonas and Tinashe will no longer perform on her tour, new reports suggest. Iggy was scheduled to kick off her tour on April 14.
"Due to tour production delays and to accommodate for creative team availability and tour productions, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring. It's important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requites more time in development," Iggy's label Def Jam Recording released an official statement on Tuesday, according to Perez Hilton. The website also writes that Iggy will have to hunt for new opening acts for her tour as Nick Jonas and Tinashe are no longer part of Iggy's tour.
The “Fancy” rapper also announced the news of her tour postponement on her Twitter account. Iggy wrote that the postponement of her tour to September only means that her upcoming tour “will be way more amazing than it would've been in April” as “good things” take time.” There is speculation in the media that there are more reasons for Iggy's tour to get pushed back than “production delays.”
Various sources close to the rapper told The Wrap that Iggy is “increasingly unresponsive” to her management and does not want to “engage in promotion” of any kinds that are crucial to her tour's success. Iggy also “took a break” from social media sometime back saying that her management will take care of the updates from now on. Meanwhile, the new dates for Iggy's tour are below:
