After Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they made the “difficult decision to divorce," a new report claimed the 10-year marriage had been so tumultuous that the two going ahead with their plans just might not be surprising. According to multiple sources, Affleck had partied, gambled and even cheated on Garner, prompting him to beg for forgiveness from his soon-to-be ex-wife at one point.

An exclusive report by US Magazine claimed that even though there is no final confirmation that Affleck and Garner are going ahead with their plans of divorce, multiple sources vouched for the fact that the marriage was so wrought with heartaches and conflicts that a divorce is not that unlikely. Insiders claimed that there were plenty of mistrust for the past ten years, since they got married. A source claimed that Garner even attempted to leave Affleck several times through the years, but would be compelled to stay when the actor would beg her to forgive him and stay.

In addition, another insider claimed that Garner would always remember her dream of wanting a intact family for her children, Vioet 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3 so she fought the urge to leave. The couple had “been on the brink of splitting up many times before,” but the source said Garner would fought on “to keep the family together.”

Even though there were already multiple reports stating the two had divorced already, the two have not officially filed for such. The two only announced that they planned to on a joint statement to People Magazine. After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple tells the magazine in a joint statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time,” the statement further reads.

Moreover, Ben Affleck had just been spotted in Atlanta wearing his wedding ring again, prompting many to speculate the divorce plans just might be called off.
