An Evasi0n iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak petition is starting to gain more "signatures" when a Bloomberg report came out about a potential delay for the iOS 7 release. Meanwhile, on Twitter, an evad3r seems to have hinted the group is working on a jailbreak tool, after all.

A change.org petition has been put up with the title, "Evasi0n: To release a jailbreak of iOS 6.1.3." It has so far drawn 853 supporters. This number is a very tiny fraction of the several millions of iDevice owners who've broken free from iOS limits with the evasi0n jailbreak tool since February. It is understood millions of evasi0n followers were aware of the group's plan to wait for the iOS 7 before releasing a new jailbreak tool.

However, a recent Bloomberg report hinted the iOS 7 could be delayed by several months. A month ago, when evad3rs announced the group was not working on iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak, things were different. It was widely rumored that the iOS 7 could come out around Q2 2013. Now the supposedly all-new iOS could be delayed until 2014.

Some reports are claiming the non-response of the evad3rs to the latest Apple OS update mean the tech giant could be "winning the war" against jailbreakers. But an evad3r coder had earlier tweeted: "(W)e are not working on a 6.1.3 jailbreak, that would be too much efforts for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release." This tweet was posted by Twitter pod2g a month ago.

. @xld2s59 we are not working on a 6.1.3 jailbreak, that would be too much efforts for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release.

But just this Wednesday, hackers saw a glimmer of hope from this tweet from another evad3r, Twitter user p0sixninja:

@fail0verflow when are you going to release the 6.1.3 jailbreak?!?!?! — Joshua Hill (@p0sixninja) April 30, 2013

Perhaps iOS 6.1.3 evasi0n jailbreak is just around the corner?

The latest jailbreak tool released by evad3rs was for iOS 6.1.2. Apple iDevice owners who jailbreak their gadgets do so in order to gain more control over their devices. Apple, for its part, is controlling access to certain features over security concerns.
