New reports about the iPad Mini 2 have surfaced to excite the Apple supporters patiently waiting for the latest device. Arrival of the iPad Mini 2 is reportedly scheduled on December 2013 with a release date before Christmas day and the price estimated to be $225-250.

The initial plan for the second-generation iPad Mini was to unveil it next to the iPad 5 but the production schedule has been moved to November. For the device price, a Citi Research analysis suggests that the technology giant could slash the iPad Mini 2 price based from the existing $329 price of the iPad Mini.

Reasons for the production delay were not officially provided but KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed in April that the iPad Mini 2 launch schedule will be later this year instead of the early predicted release date due to technical issues in the production process.

Other reports indicate that Apple's decision to delay the iPad Mini 2 release is a marketing strategy so that the iPad 5 sales will not be negatively affected. It appears that Apple is currently focused on the new 9.7-inch iPad sales for the year 2013.

Tough competition in the tablet market drives Apple to meet the increasing demand of the device consumers as well as competing with the other tablet-producing companies that offer a more affordable price. The upcoming iPad Mini 2 is expected to feature the Retina Display with an enhanced camera that provides high quality imaging and display.

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 14 in San Francisco, California to give details on the latest iOS and possibly the announcement on the upcoming Apple devices such as the iPad 5, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5S or iPhone 6.
