iPhone 5 Event On, What Does ‘Let’s Talk iPhone’ Mean?
Cupertino-based i-gadgets company Apple sent out invites to the media confirming the introduction of the new iPhone 5 on Oct. 4.
According to the invitation, the much-awaited media event will be held in Cupertino campus at 10 a.m.
Apple invited the attendees to a special event and left a cryptic message of "Let's Talk iPhone."
As usual, the company remained tight-lipped about the agenda of the event. There were speculations that the message pertains to iPhone's new iOS 5 software feature. This upgrade in software will allow users to command the handset through human language.
Moreover, despite former U.S. Vice President and Apple board member Al Gore's unofficial statement that "new iPhones" will be released next week, there is no indication if the company will release a new iPhone 5 or the iPhone 4S.
People are hoping that Apple will include the rumored iPhone 5's specs and features that went viral on the internet the past few months.
Apple staff and workers were working double-time for the release of the new handset. The company released a memorandum that requested the employees to come in to work on the holidays on the first two weeks of October.
This is the first time a media event will be head on the Cupertino headquarters of Apple. Previous Apple events were held in nearby locations and convention centers. Very few people were able to see what is inside the campus; thus, even the new location of the event caused media frenzy.
This is also the first time that newly-installed CEO Tim Cook will preside an Apple event after former CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs resigned from his post.
