iPhone 5 Weak Wi-Fi Signal: Linkase Accessory Designed to Improve Signal Strength Up To 50%
iPhone 5 users who are troubled with weak Wi-Fi signal are now being offered a new case to improve the signal strength up to 50%. Absolute Technologies presents the iPhone 5 accessory called Linkase that enhances the Apple smart phone's Wi-Fi signal grabbing ability with its additional external antenna.
Absolute Technology said in a statement: "Linkase is fueled by EMW technology (electromagnetic waveguide) and is designed with an embedded proprietary sliding antenna that dramatically boosts a Wi-Fi signal-by up to 50 percent."
The Linkase creator claimed the iPhone 5 users are unaware of blocking the smart phone's ability to grab Wi-Fi signal with their hands. That is why the company decided to incorporated the latest signal-enhancing EMW technology on the case.
"This technology is incorporated into the sliding mechanism of the LINKASE and will resonate with your mobile device's antenna to provide seriously improved signal performance," the company declared.
Absolute Technologies created the Linkase with a tough polycarbonate and non-slipping leather back case coating that can provide extra grip and additional iPhone 5 protection. Linkase measures 126.7 mm in length, 9.97 mm thickness, 61.4 mm wide and 18 grams of weight.
Linkase features shock absorbent rubber sides as well as elevated front bevels that add up protection to the iPhone 5 screen. Customers can choose from the five colors available like black, white, gray, red and blue. The case comes with additional interchangeable EMW units that can be individually bought.
Absolute Technologies has not yet confirmed the Linkase price and release date. However, GigaOM reports the Wi-Fi signal enhancing case will be put on sale in a month or two for a price of $49.99.
