The latest rumour claimed that iPhone 6, iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have very close release dates in September.

The Apple's upcoming smartphones are rumoured to be released on September 6. The rumour is due to Apple's back-to-school promo that gives out gift cards to students and teachers who buy a new Mac, iPhone or iPad for the upcoming school year.

Apple will also give students a gift card for every new iPad, iPad mini or iPhone they buy from the Apple Store. The promotion offers $50 App Store gift cards for each iOS device (excluding the iPod touch) that students buy for college.

Apple's back-to-school promo will end on September 6, which will give Apple an ample time to sell more units through the promo.

Rumour has it that the next iPhone will include a faster A6X processor, larger storage capacity up to 128GB, added security feature such as the fingerprint sensor and longer battery life.

The alleged low cost iPhone, on the other hand, is rumoured to have the specs of either iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S and will be available in a variety of colours.

On the other hand, a report claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be released on September 4, which is ahead of the IFA event in Berlin.

According to tech website Android Geeks, Samsung will apparently send out invites to the media sometime in August for a Samsung Unpacked event that will take place on September 4. This strategy is similar to the one Samsung employed to the Galaxy Note 2 - Samsung held an Unpacked Event where the phablet was unveiled right before IFA 2012 kicked off. IFA 2013 is schedule to run from Sept. 6 to Sept. 11.

Some of the rumored specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are: 6.3-inch Full HD screen display; unbreakable, flexible screen; 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor chip; stylus And finger hovering feature; Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS; 16 megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and BSI and 3 megapixel front camera with 'Best Photo,' 'Best Faces,' low light show and BSI; 32, 64 and 128 GB internal memory options expandable storage via microSD cards; 4,000 mAh Li-on battery.

However, both tech companies did not commented on the rumours surrounding its devices.
