As far as new technology rumored for the iPhone 6 goes, several familiar features have often made it to headlines surrounding speculations on Apple's upcoming smartphone next year.

However, recent reports have surfaced another feature that, while discussed briefly and speculated before, has not been much touted until now. It seems like the nearer the WWDC comes, the more new features come to light, starting with the gaze technology.

Those who have read reviews about Samsung's Galaxy S4 would know that this technology is already offered in the form of the Smart Stay, Smart Scroll, and Smart Pause.

Phones Review adds that there have been reports that other competitors BlackBerry and Sony have also started to look into the technology, not just as an added gimmick for future phones, but as a potential solution to battery life problems.

And while the common problem that still needs a solution with this form of innovation lies in the fact that lag time between the user looking away from the device and the turning off of the display, Apple may be hard at work at solving the problem, thanks to reports of more than two sensors working together to achieve that balance.

In the report, Phones Review adds that multiple sensors can complement each other, wherein one would focus on the detection of the user and the other involved in battery life conservation.

Other reports point to a September launch

Meanwhile, not everyone shares in the idea that the iPhone 6 will not arrive until next year, as another analyst in talks with T3 has placed his claims that component orders may have already begun, putting the production around August and the launch in September.

Financial analyst Chris Whitmore of Deutsche Bank Equity Research said to T3, "Specifically, we believe Apple is currently placing component orders for iPhone volume manufacturing to ramp in the August timeframe, suggesting they're on pace for a late September launch.

This bit of news should also factor in the possibility that the phone to be released in September will be the iPhone 5S, and not the iPhone 6. Note that past reports have shown that, given the lack of confirmations as to even the naming of the next iPhone device, it may be that the smartphone to be released this year may be the iPhone 6, though any groundbreaking technology may not be visible in the hardware.

One of these technologies that may not debut in the iPhone coming this September may be the iOS 7, which is due to be announced next week at the WWDC. Unless Apple ramps up its process, the iOS 7 may make its debut in the iPhone slated for next year, with this year's iPhone as well as other older models getting possible downloadable versions of the new OS.

iPhone 5S gold version leaked?

An image leaked from a Chinese website has now been circulating in the web, as it may have just revealed the components for the next iPhone.

Three iPhone components are lined up next to each other, bearing the colors gold, silver, and brown. Geek.com showcases the phones with labels: iPhone 4S for the brown components, iPhone 5 for the silver, and the iPhone 5S for the gold.

However, other sources like ExtremeTech have labeled the gold components to be for the iPhone 6. Added details tell not of an entirely gold-colored iPhone device, but rather one that has gold trimmings, perhaps a compromise for the iPhone's signature black and white iterations and the solid varied colors of the iPod Touch.

Another image from the same Chinese publication source has also leaked a plastic-covered iPhone, ramping up rumors about the cheap iPhone. Of course, this can simply be a plastic casing covering a previous iteration of the iPhone, but it certainly gives hope for those who have been waiting for a more affordable iPhone.
