iPhone 6 Features Include 5.7-Inch Screen Display – Analyst
Another analyst claimed that iPhone 6 features will boast a larger screen display.
The rumour came from market research company DisplaySearch. The company reportedly reached out to sources directly from the Apple supply chain which revealed that the iPhone 6 will pack a screen display that is 5.7 inches in size.
DisplaySearch analyst David Hsieh wrote in his note to investors:
"Introduction of the iPhone 5S and 5C was the latest example that Apple has been slow in adopting the latest display technologies. While 5-6" FHD resolution displays are rapidly growing in the smart phone market, the iPhone has stayed with the 4" 1136×640 screen for over a year and a half. [...] Based on supply chain research, we believe Apple is planning to revamp nearly all of the displays in its products over the next year."
Mr. Hsieh is not the first analyst to say that Apple will increase the screen size of the next iPhone. Early this week, Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek wrote in his latest note to investors that the next iPhone 6 will pack a bigger screen display as the company got a great deal from one of its components' suppliers. KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo also said that an iPhone with bigger screen display is on its way
The iPhone 6 is claimed to be Apple's own version of phablet. If 5.7 inches screen display is true, there will be a two-inch difference between the iPhone 6 and iPad Mini.
Rumours said that iPhone 6's new screen size will range from 4.8 to 6 inches. Some reports claimed that Apple is already testing some screen displays.
iPhone 6 release date will happen in the first quarter of next year although the company just released the iPhone 5S and 5C. Aside from larger screen display, iPhone 6 features may include a 64-bit A7 processor or A8 processor; M7 graphics chip; Touch ID fingerprint sensor; NFC; up to 128GB internal storage and iOS 7 mobile software.
However, Apple has not confirmed the rumours surrounding the iPhone 6.
