The iPhone 6 is considered to be the upcoming flagship phone of Apple after the iPhone 5S this year, and a lot is relatively expected of the former phone iteration. Considering that many are still expecting the iPhone 5S to be the refresh phone of the current iPhone 5, with 2014 pegged to have something groundbreaking in terms of design an offers for the iPhone 6.

With all of this in mind, more concept videos for the iPhone 6 have emerged, this time speculating futuristic features and designs for the device.

The iPhablet

Not much has really been confirmed regarding the design of the iPhone 6, but given how Apple has never strayed far from the original, this concept video from Ran Avni showcases a new iDevice, which is the iPhablet or an iPhone 6.2 concept.

The video showcases a device with a 6.2-inch full HD screen complete with a fingerprint sensor and FaceTime camera. The screen is also made up of Retina Plus Gorilla Glass 3.

The inside is also a more future-forward update of iOS 7.1, given that the iOS 7 is still in the fifth stage of beta testing. The device also has an A8X Apple chi and 2.5 GB of RAM with three choices of storage options, a 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

As for the hardware, you have the 10-megapixel rear camera and a 3.2-megapixel front camera, pretty modest concept features, considering that Samsung Galaxy S5 concept features already point to a 16-megapixel camera.

The concept device is also slated to come out in eight colors, as well as have connectivity options of Wi-Fi + 3G and 4G LTE.

Clear phone, projected keyboard

What else can be more futuristic-looking than an all-clear iPhone 6? How about a device that projects a keyboard and transforms not unlike the Transformers wherein the phone is not anymore just what it seems?

In this video, you basically have two concept videos. It starts with showing off a clear device (save for the app icons), with crisp sharp images on the screen. The device is also tagged to be secure, fast, aware, dynamic, and intelligent, though the features were not itemized as to what exactly each quality pertains to.

But what is more interesting is the second part, which features a very futuristic iPhone 6. You have not only a phone that has a holographic keyboard, but also a projected screen. So you can basically transform your small iPhone 6 into a laptop with a projected display.

Otherwise, the design is not far from the iPhone of today, save for the possibility of a transparent screen (meaning you have a laser keyboard) and a very thin body compared to the most current iPhone 6.

The phone also plays with the idea of a holographic display, which can ultimately create an all-in-one toolset in just one device. What do you think of this kind of iPhone in the future?

iPhone 6 that runs on a new kind of fuel?

For this concept, you have a pretty standard-looking iPhone 6, complete with a new home button, a 12-megapixel camera, 4G network connectivity, additional speakers, and access to the iCloud.

Other features include the quad-core A6 chip, 4.7-inch 720p Retina display (one that is noticeably edge-to-edge, like many rumoured or created concepts), and 256GB SSD.

But the most fascinating added feature is the new hydrogen fuel cell power source. This is a forward-thinking feature, but obviously one that won't be featured in an Apple (or any brand) device any time soon.

However, this concept may be taking a stab at a previously reported technology that Apple has patented in 2011. According to Discovery.com, Apple has filed for two hydrogen fuel cell patents as a new way of recharging different Apple devices.

As stated in the report, not only can this kind of technology enhance energy densities in the phone for a long-lasting battery life, it can also eliminate bulky battery packs for a sleeker device.

Currently, there hasn't been any other update regarding Apple's pursuit of this noble technology, but the future may hold a project similar to this.
