iPhone 6, iPhone 5S to Feature Better Front and Rear Camera?
New rumours claimed that the next generation of Apple's iPhone will feature an improved front and back camera.
According to the latest gossip, it will feature an improved 2 megapixel front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera.
The report comes from iOSDoc and says the next iPhone will come out with iOS 7 on board and the smartphone will have the ability to record full HD videos. Furthermore, the latest version of iOS, which is yet to be announced, will have a new feature called dual-shot, which is quite similar to the dual-camera mode on the LG Optimus G Pro and Samsung Galaxy S4.
The dual-shot feature allows you to capture images and videos with both front facing camera as well as the rear camera at the same time. The feature is still in its beta testing phase and is expected to be integrated into the final iOS 7 version as soon as the testing is completed.
Unfortunately, the dual-shot feature will be made exclusive for the future iPhones and will not be available on any older iPhones.
Apple CEO Tim Cook dropped several hints that the upcoming iPhone 6 and 5S will be released later this year.
In the most recent earnings call with investors, press and analysts, Cook said that no new products are to launch before the end of the year.
Cook also subtly dented rumours that the iPhone 5S could launch as early as June. "Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014."
Rumour has it that the next iPhone will feature Retina or IGZO screen display, A7 quad core chip processor, iOS 7, 128GB internal storage, 13 mega-pixel camera, and longer battery life. The lack of NFC support on the iPhone 5 was one of the biggest criticisms aimed at Apple's smartphone.
Meanwhile, the cheaper iPhone 5S is rumoured to sport a plastic casing, 4-inch screen display, dual core processor and 8-megapixel camera.
However, Apple has not yet commented on the rumours.
