The sales of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have been quite impressive. According to CNET, the popular Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster's has predicted that sales of both the handsets would reach around 56.7 million to 62.7 million in the last quarter of this year. The prediction is in line with the Wall Street's forecast of 60 million sales.

CNET also adds the last quarter of 2014 accounts as the first fiscal quarter for the Cupertino company, which means the company will begin fiscal 2015 with a marvellous sales performance. With the estimates ranging from 56.7 million to 62.7 million sales, Apple is gunning towards breaking its 2013's last quarter record of selling 51 million iPhones.

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus was announced on Sept 9 and the preorders began on September 12 and in the very first weekend, 10 million units were sold. Considering the market performance of both the handset, GSMArena claims that the iPhone 6 sales could easily reach cross the 60 million mark by the end of this year.

Quite recently, Apple started selling the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in China, which is the largest smartphone market in the world. The first preorders report from China shows that Apple managed to sell 20 million units. If the prediction made by Munster comes true, Apple will end up selling 25% to 45% more iPhone units compared to last year's fourth quarter.

Munster also claims that the average retail price of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will be increased in the last quarter from the existing $630 to $695. Last year, Apple made a revenue of $57.6 billion in the fourth quarter. This year, Apple seems to be on track to make revenue ranging between $65 billion and $88 billion in the last quarter of this year.

As far as Apple Watch is concerned, Munster speculates that the smartwatch will be made available around Valentine's Day. His analyses reveals that Apple will end up selling 10 million Apple Watch units in 2015.
