iPhone 6 Meets Windows 8.1 Rival Prior to Q1 2014 Release Date: Concept Phone with Wrap-Around Screen & 3D Visual Rendering Surfaces [PHOTOS]
No doubt, Apple's iPhone 6 is roaring hot even if the tech giant remains coy about its supposed phablet-size. So hot that the large-screen iOS 7 smartphone now counts a solid rival and it is a Windows 8.1 device.
And the next-gen iPhone is not even proximate to reality but there is no stopping Kent Dechjun from floating his idea of the Windows challenger that could give the planned Apple phablet a run for its money.
Picked up by Concept Phones, Mr Dechjun's works easily takes readers back to the iPhone 6 renders that were published in the past months - showing the next iPhone, not only with a sprawling display panel but with a phone screen that stretches right to the back of the device.
The handset, in fact, is virtually all-screen minus the physical control keys, triggering wild expectations among the Apple fanboys.
For Mr Dechjun, Microsoft is equally capable of producing smartphone with the same body features, which is also equipped with futuristic capabilities in order to reign supreme over other players.
His take is mostly about immersive device screen rendition with emphasis on full smartphone functionalities. The Windows Phone he visualised is bent on fusing great utilities with eye-popping style.
The metallic frame protects the screen that embraces a big portion of the device. The best way to describe this creation is it's a vessel to deliver "crystal clear screen," that flashes objects in near-real dimensional renditions, said Concept Phones on its report.
"The screen of this concept phone can display both 2D and 3D images, by changing the back portion into a more transparent area," report added.
And since the handset serves a viewing window that covers the back and front portions, users get the benefit of accessing the Windows tiles in two layers, making it easier for them to pull up apps - to produce something or simply connect to the world.
The design author kept most of the render details under wraps but it is safe to assume that as a likely iPhone rival, the specs and features are not too remote from what Apple will offer - from screen size, the power inside and the loads of killer features.
One thing is obvious though, this Windows Phone is gunning to become the first commercially available mobile device that would 3D graphic enjoyments to gadget lovers.
Debut time is supposedly set for 2014, around the same time that analysts believe the iPhone 6 release date will fall, likely between January and March next year, at the earliest.
