The rumoured cheaper iPhone 5C release date may happen on September 13 and may be offered for free under contract.

Rumours claimed that Apple's price strategy for the rumoured iPhones this year will be the full-fledged iPhone 5S to be offered for $199; iPhone 5 for $99 and cheaper iPhone 5C offered for free. All smartphones will be under a two-year contract.

iPhone 6 is speculated to tag along the rumoured "iPhone 5C" in September. There are conflicting reports on the possible iPhone 6 release date.

Some reports claimed that the iPhone 6 will be released on September 13. Cupertino-based company is believed not to be superstitious of the so-called "Friday the 13th".

Last week, IBTimes AU reported that an unnamed Taiwan-based supplier did confirm to the publication that an iPhone 5C will be coming later this year. This was based on previous reports and leaked photos and videos that went viral on the internet.

The handset will be available in a wide array of fun colours like the fifth generation of iPod Touch. However, based on Kuo's note, the cheaper iPhone may come with iPhone 5's specs and features.

Apple still has to confirm the iPhone 6 release date and its specs and features and whether it will release the rumoured iPhone 5C.
