iPhone 6 release date reports are really ramping up with certainty there will be two different sizes for the next generation iPhone. One will be 4.7-inch and the other will have 5.5-inch.
Currently, an iPhone 6 display component has been reported to be the phablet-sized version of the smartphone.
Several reports, dummy images and leaked specs and features about iPhone 6 has been all over the Internet but some of these have been disputed. Recently, a new report showed a display component of iPhone 6 5.5-inch variant.
Based on the image, the ruler showed a 14 cm diagonal measurement, which equates to a display around 5.5-inch. Although the photos do not provide breakthrough data about iPhone 6, they reveal that Apple is planning to release variants of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Both variants of iPhone 6 will sport an aluminium body and similar design.
Previously, it has been reported the 5.5-inch version of iPhone 6 will not arrive alongside the 4.7-inch variant. But recent reports cited both versions will be launched by Q3 this year, alongside the rumored iWatch. The smaller version may sport the standard Gorilla Glass display while the bigger version will have the visually indestructible sapphire glass screen.
According to supply chain sources, the Cupertino tech giant has ordered 60 million units of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 10 million units of the 5.5-inch model. Once the technique for developing the sapphire screen has been flawlessly mastered, the production of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will ramp up.
Even the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6 version is still bigger than the current Apple flagship smartphone, iPhone 5S, which checks in with 4-inch screen size.
