iPhone 6/5S Up for Summer & Autumn Release Date and a Corning Lotus XT Glass?
Last week, the supposed internal designs for the iPhone 6 have been leaked, revealing a round of additions not only to the potential next iPhone internal makeup, but also the external look.
This time, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S speculations have pointed to a pre-order and release date as early as June this year
The Inquisitr reports that a sales sheet for the iPhone 5S has been found with a Japanese telecom that dates the pre-orders to begin as early as June 20, with shipping dates bringing the launch date to sometime July.
This is not all that has been revealed as rumors of the fingerprint detection via AuthenTec is still bring pushed, reported the feature that may be causing a delay in Apple's delivery of the products to the market.
New iPhone, new Corning Glass
Considering that the iPhone 5S is Apple's flagship phone for 2013, it's only natural for it to use the latest features that are available in the market. Cult of Mac reports that potentially one of these new features would include Corning's newest development, the Corning Lotus XT Glass.
A recent announcement released by Corning showcased the benefits of the Corning Lotus XT Glass, with features that can bring back Apple's seemingly diminished streak for innovation.
One of the more noticeable features of the Corning Lotus XT Glass is that its design is tailored for Retina displays, one of the features being touted for upcoming Apple products.
In addition, efficiency in terms of lighting may also result from the use of the new Corning display. This comes from the way outside light is utilized more than the need for backlight from the phone, which can mean better battery usage as well as better color vibrancy.
If this is the case, it seems that Apple is really gearing for better resolutions this time around. This would be especially useful for the iPhone 5S, if it indeed comes out as a refresh of the current iPhone 5.
As for the iPhone 6, if the rumors of a summer release next year are to be believed, then there should be ample time for Apple to not only consolidate all the possible new features in the iPhone 5S, but also create an innovative design for the iPhone 6.
