The famed sci-fi author Isaac Asimov was not one of the many icons in history who turned out as epic failures for their predictions. In fact, most of his predictions in the past somehow became true, especially for the 2014 World's Fair. Some of them are even already apparent as of the present moment.

The Three Laws of Robotics author took a great risk in imagining what would be included in the future World's Fair of 2014 when he was still living way back in 1964.

So what could be the highlights of his predictions?

There will be kitchen gadgets that are capable of preparing the so-called 'automeals.' All meals will be converted to become flavoured coffee.

Complete lunch and dinner meals can be kept inside the freezer until it is ready to be processed.

Asimov predicted that by year 2014, unmanned ships can already reach the planet of Mars. A manned travel will also be in progress and in the same year, a model for a possible and detailed Martian community will be featured. Remember the recent news about the Mars Millenium Project 2030?

When it comes to communication technology advancements, there will be space satellites that can help you dial direct to any spot around the globe. Sooner or later, you can get to see the person you are talking with over the end of the line. Does that sound like Skype? Or maybe even Google Glass.

The author also predicted that the 2014 World's Fair will have life-size 3D television sets where actual ballet performances can be watched.

And lastly, robots will surely exist. Isn't it that it was just this month when Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro created a clone robot of himself?

There are still some that Asimov did not get right like the East Coast turning into one super sized city, particularly Boston and Washington, D.C. However, the fact that he predicted for a 2014 World Fair to happen is impressive enough.
