Young country singer Taylor Swift didn't keep it a secret that she takes inspiration on writing songs from her love life. Now as she releases her new break-up song, Joe Jonas reacts that it's not about him.

It is undeniable that Taylor Swift's many break-up songs were inspired by true to life experiences. In an interview before, she said that she takes inspiration from her love life when it comes to writing about her songs.

It's understandable why Joe Jonas was quick to deny that Taylor's new single is not about him. The young singer said that they both dated back in 2008 so it would not be possible that the song was about him as they have never tried to get back together anyway.

"I don't think we've ever tried [to get back together] another time, so I can tell you it's not about me. That said, I think the song is great. Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her," he told Washington DC's Fresh FM.

Joe added that although they are in good terms, they haven't had the chance to talk in quite a while now.

"I haven't really spoken to her recently, but I was able to go to her concert last year, and her show live is so phenomenal," Joe said. "I would say anybody should go see it if they haven't had a chance."

When Taylor revealed in public that they ended their relationship in a "27-second phone call", Joe explained his side using his MySpace account.

"For those who have expressed concern over the '27 second' phone call, I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk," he posted.

Meanwhile, Taylor is currently dating with 18-year-old Conor Kennedy from the famous political clan. She reportedly bought a house just across the street away from the Kennedy's.
