'iZombie' Episode 3 Spoilers: Liv Goes 'Zombie Hunting' And Meets Someone She Knows [Watch Videos]

The producers of “iZombie” have released two new videos that show what episode 3 is all about. Liv will be out looking for more zombies in the upcoming episode and will be surprised to find someone she knows. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

Executive Producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright appear in the first video to explain what the viewers will get to see in the next episode of “iZombie.” Liv’s boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, will discover a photo of a zombie on Facebook. The photo was taken very close to the place where the boat massacre took place, which Liv had gone to in the first episode.

Ravi and Liv go out to find if there is in fact a third zombie in the city. They find Marcy turned into a zombie and stumbling about in the dark. Marcy was the one who took Liv to the boat party in the first episode. “So many of our zombies are sort of fully functioning, if a bit off kilter because of their zombiness,” Rob Thomas says in the video.

Marcy appears to recognise Liv even in her state as a zombie, and Liv is surprised to find Marcy in that state. Liv is worried that there are already two zombies in the city and a third can turn them into a “horde.” She had previously met a fellow zombie, Blaine DeBeers, in the second episode.

“iZombie” episode 3 will take Liv’s personality in a new direction. After eating the brain of a passionate artist in the second episode, she will now get to eat the brains of a psychopathic hit man. One of the memories Liv gets to see of the dead man is him killing a man for not paying the money to his client. The eating of the hit man’s brains puts Liv in a “very unhappy, unpleasant state,” Rob Thomas explains. She will have very little sympathy or emotion for others in the next episode.

Detective Clive Babineaux does not appear in the two videos. It is unclear if Liv will be helping him solve any crime in “iZombie” episode 3. The rookie detective has come to rely on her to help him solve his cases.
