"Australia's Got Talent" young wonder Jack Vidgen bagged a recording deal with Sony Music even before the show reached its end.

The 14-year-old blonde vocal sensation from Sydney has his music career already in the works a week before his fate is revealed on next week's Australia's Got Talent finals. Sony Music announced that they have been closely looking over the young talent's progress in the competition, and are pleased to confirm that Vidgen is a top priority of theirs. Sony Music chief executive Denis Handlin announced Vidgen's appearance at a Sony Foundation charity event in Kirribili house, where the singer is expected to perform. It is also said that Handlin will announce Vidgen's recording deal on tonight's Sony charity cocktail.

The big winner of Australia's Got Talent will be announced on Tuesday, after the votes coming from 2.2 million viewers are counted. On Tuesday night, Vidgen performed an original song entitled "Yes I Am", which he co-wrote with Erina Carke, his vocal coach, and A2, Clarke's husband who also happens to be a producer. The song, which had notes that perfectly explored Vidgen's vocal prowess, had a six-week writing process, an element of determination which makes Vidgen's Tuesday performance more memorable. There was a slight debate over Vidgen's involvement in the writing, but AGT's producer Dorian West claims the singer placed his input 100%."It was written about his experience on the show and he has captured that beautifully, Jack was deeply involved lyrically, with melodies, composition - everything" says West in an interview posted by News.com.au.

Because of his boyish charm and powerful voice, Vidgen has attracted an international fan base and dubbed by the media as Australia's answer to pop sensation Justin Bieber. With the range of his talent and his ability to write mature songs, it's no wonder if Vidgen's becomes more successful than the US singer.
