Jennifer Lawrence says she is done with playing the character of a mutant, Mystique in the “X-Men” franchise. In her latest interview with a website, the 24-year-old actress said the upcoming film “X-Men: Apocalypse” will be her last one in that role. The actress did not give any specific reason for her decision.

“It is my last one, actually,” Lawrence is quoted as saying to the MTV News at the red carpet premiere of her new film “Serena.” The website adds that Lawrence's decision could be affected by the fact that the “X-Men” films is casting various new mutants like Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm for their soon to begin “new era.” The website also speculates that “X-Men: Apocalypse” will also mark the end for various other characters including James McAvoy’s Xavier, Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, and Nicholas Hoult’s Beast.

Lawrence's co-star from the superhero film, Hoult confirmed to E News last week that it will be his last time too in the “X-Men” films. “X-Men: Apocalypse” opens May 27, 2016. Bryan Singer will return as a director for the film.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is not the only franchise that will see Lawrence go. The short-haired actress will also not be seen again in the role of Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games.” The actress will play the role of Katniss for the last time in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” which is scheduled for a May 26, 2016 release.

Meanwhile, the gorgeous actress has her hands full and a very busy career ahead. She has recently been signed by ace Hollywood director Steven Spielberg for a new film that is based on a memoir of a female war journalist. The film “It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War” is an adaptation of Lynsey Addario’s memoir that details her life's experience as a photojournalist.

Lawrence will also be acting with her “Silver Lining Playbook” co-star Bradley Cooper for “Joy.” The film tells a story of a woman who invented the Miracle Mop. “Joy” opens on Christmas this year.
