Johnny Depp's daughter defends him on Instagram; ex-partner calls Amber Heard's abuse claims 'outrageous'
Amid allegations of domestic abuse being thrown against him by his estranged wife, Johnny Depp has remained mum, relying on his lawyers to speak on his behalf. Now, the other women in his life are breaking their silence, speaking out publicly in defence of the actor.
Actress and model Lily-Rose Depp, 17, took to Instagram to show her support for her embattled dad. She shared an old photograph showing her with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and captioned it, “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know. “He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same,” she added. Her brother, Jack, is now 14 years old.
Lily-Rose seems to address the allegations of Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, who accused him of domestic violence. Depp allegedly subjected her to “excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse,” according to Heard’s divorce papers. She also cited an incident wherein Depp threw a mobile phone to her, hitting her face. As a result, she requested – and was granted – a temporary restraining order against the actor. A court in Los Angeles has ordered Depp to stay a minimum of 100 yards away from Heard at all times.

French singer Vanessa Paradis, Depp’s former partner and Lily-Rose’s mother, has issued a public letter wherein she called Heard’s accusations as “outrageous.” In the letter, Paradis reportedly referred to Depp as a “sensitive, loving and loved person,” according to a report by TMZ. “In all these years I have known Johnny he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years,” she continued.
Paradis and Depp became a couple in 1998 and split in 2012. Depp’s marriage with Heard, on the other hand, lasted for 15 months. Heard filed divorce from the Depp last week, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
