‘Jon Snow’ of ‘Game of Thrones’: Kit Harrington Talks About Girlfriend, Being ‘Dirty’ and Twitter [PHOTOS]

He plays Jon Snow, the bastard son of Eddard Stark in the medieval series "Game of Thrones" but ever wonder what he's like in real life? There are very few details about him, even less about his personal life but this time, lets find out what he has to say about being famous, getting "dirty" and his love life.

Another brood of young actors were given their breaks when they were chosen to cast in hit TV series "Game of Thrones" and one of them is Kit Harrington. Avid viewers of the show famously know him as Jon Snow.

Kit Harrington or Christopher Harrington is an English actor who engages in television, film and theater acting. The public took notice of him when he played Albert in the original West End production "War Horse." He rose to even greater fame as he stars as Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones."

But talking more about his personal life and his rise to fame, he initially said that it was quite bizarre and flattering to be getting a lot of Facebook requests and to be recognized while walking down the street.

"The whole Twitter thing kind of passed me by. I wouldn't say I was a huge fan of Twitter. At some point maybe I'll set myself up an account, but I haven't yet felt the need to. I find it more hassle than it's worth, for me, I think," sharing his opinion about having a Twitter account just like most celebrities.

And revealing his experiences on set, he says that he really gets "dirty" for the part. Kit admitted that he doesn't wash his hair as often and grows it out for his role as Jon Snow.

"I don't wash it anyway when I'm filming. It's my choice in a kind of strange little way. I think when we shot the pilot one of the things that was wrong about it was that everybody looked too clean. There wasn't enough dirt on people's faces," Harrington said. "We go into hair and makeup and they just shove loads of dirt on you."

And for all the ladies waiting if Jon Snow's heart is taken, well his answer to that is, "No comment." Kit reportedly had a girlfriend which he brought to the Comic-Con event last year where all the cast also attended. But unfortunately or maybe fortunately to all his girls fans, the two have broken up.
