Justin Bieber splits with Sofia Richie

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber is back on the international headlines after ending his six-week relationship with American model Sofia Richie.

TMZ broke the news about the couple’s split after sources close to Bieber said the 22-year-old “Sorry” singer is single and ready to date other girls.

For her part, the 18-year-old model was spotted partying with friends Sunday night at the Nice Guy.

Bieber and Richie was earlier spotted vacationing in Mexico for the model’s 18th birthday on Aug. 24.

However, E! News sources disclosed that the pair was “never officially together, but more casual hanging out and having fun."

"It was super-hot and heavy, and because Justin doesn't want a relationship right now, he wanted to cool things down," the insider revealed.

"Sofia would like to be exclusive and hopes it will lead into that shortly. She has always had something for Justin.”

Before the supposed cool-off, Lionel Richie’s daughter claimed that she has a special relationship with the famous rapper.

"We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles,” she said.

Bieber’s romance with Richie started last month when the two were spotted during a morning hike to Hollywood on Aug. 10. Various media reported the pair holding hands in Laguna Beach, California, in a trip late last month. Richie went with Justin to Japan where he performed at two “Purpose World” tour shows.

Bieber quits Instagram

Bieber earlier made headlines after he quit Instagram, where he posted selfies with Richie. The Instagram posts did not sit well with his fans and even made his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez comment, “If you can’t handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol- It should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before any one ever did.”

Bieber has not yet rekindled his social media activity so far.
