Visiting Canadian singer Justin Bieber may have angered local officials with his graffiti and turned off Aussie parents with his series of misbehaviour during the recently concluded Latin American leg of his Believe tour.

However, just as he is winding up the Australian leg of his eight-concert series, Bieber showed that underneath the shirtless and tattooed 19-year-old rebel is a performer who loves his fans deeply.

Proof is this was when Justin learned of a Melbourne fan's tweet, asking him for a visit because she failed to watch his concert due to a horrible car accident that almost took Kate O'Neill's life.

Kate, who co-heads the Melbourne Bieber Team - made up of 400 members, that fundraises for Justin's favourite charities, saved for 18 months by working extra shifts at a fast food outlet to watch the concerts in every Australian state. Unfortunately, the car she was riding hit a tree at 100 kilometres per hour.

Kate has four broken ribs, a fractured spine in three places, internal bleeding and lacerations on her kidney and liver.

However, all the pain disappeared when Bieber heeded her tweet and arranged to have her transferred from the hospital where she is recovering to a surprise VEVO gig where the bad boy from Canada showed his good side and performed an unrehearsed acoustic set for Kate.

Bieber was accompanied by 50 Beliebers who boarded a bus unaware of where they were headed for.

After his performance and before he left the stage, Justin said, "I love my Beliebers so much. They are always there for me and have done so much for me. It was so special to be able to give something back, especially to an amazing fan like Kate. It is what my Believe tour is all about."

Kate had the bonus of kissing her idol on the cheek, captured in this short video clip.

Later, from her hospital bed, she sent a barrage of tweets, gushing over her once-in-a-lifetime fan experience.

"Thank you so much everyone its because of you guys I have the biggest smile on my face for the first time since the accident," she tweeted on Tuesday morning.

After a minute, she again tweeted, "I have the most beautiful idol on the planet no one can ever tell me again that he doesn't care. I love him so much."

Kate's experience gives a good and happy ending to the Australian run of the Believe tour which had been partly marred by the high rate of ticket returns initiated by Aussie parents over Justin's bad boy acts in Brazil and Argentina.

Certainly, this next song by Justin captures Kate's ecstatic experience because the surprise visit by her idol caused one less girl in the planet to be lonely.
