After almost four years, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have called it quits, confirms the celebrity couple’s representative in a statement after continuing speculation that the pair have indeed already headed to Splitsville.

"Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways," the former couple’s said in a joint statement, according to Access Hollywood (AH).

The joint statement sent to AH also emphasized that Justin, 30, and Jessica, 29 are still in good terms after the split.

“The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other,” the statement noted.

The former couple began dating in 2007 and they had been rumored to split up a number of times. Biel was reportedly much more into Justin, whom she apparently hoped to have walked the aisle with. The couple have kept mum about their relationship until Jessica opened up to Vogue in January 2010.

“I don't feel the need to clear anything up," Jessica was quoted telling the magazine last year addressing the rumors of her ‘rocky romance’ with an equally popular boyfriend.

She added, “It's the most precious thing that I have in my life, and I care about it so much that I don't care about what anyone says or thinks. I have just not addressed it in any real way, and I'm not going to. It's mine. And I really like that about it."

Jessica had called Justin her ‘sparkly present’ and she was quoted saying Marie Claire UK in December 2008 that she just did not want to open her precious gift in front of strangers.
