Kate Middleton might skip Princess Eugenie’s wedding
Kate Middleton might miss her cousin-in-law’s wedding. The Duchess of Cambridge could reportedly drop out from Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s lavish royal wedding in October because of family obligations.
Eugenie and Jack will wed at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Oct. 12. As it is Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter’s wedding, it is expected that all adult members of the Royal family would be present. However, Prince William’s wife might be missing from the event because of her sister, Pippa Middleton.
According to Express, Pippa, 34, is due to give birth to her first child with James Matthews also this coming October. The exact date is not known, but it apparently could be around Eugenie’s wedding date. And as Kate and Pippa are very close, this could mean Kate would skip Eugenie’s big day in Windsor to be with her sister in London.
But again, according to another report, Kate’s children would be one of Eugenie’s bridesmaids and pageboys, and therefore it’s unlikely that Kate would miss the event where Princess Charlotte and Prince George have important roles. And although the sisters are close, Pippa wasn’t by Kate’s side on the day that the Duchess gave birth to her three children. Pippa drove to Kensington Palace days later after each birth, though, to visit Kate and welcome her new nephew or niece.
So even if Pippa gave birth on Oct. 12, Kate could still drive to London to be with her only sister the next day.
There is someone else close to Eugenie who could skip her wedding, though. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, is reportedly still undecided if he would attend his granddaughter’s wedding or not. The Duke allegedly still hasn’t forgiven Eugenie’s mum, Sarah, Duchess of York, for creating scandals during and after her marriage to Prince Andrew. Apparently, he refuses to have anything to do with his former daughter-in-law. And because it is Eugenie’s big day, it’s a given that Sarah would be there.
