Kate Middleton To Seek Help From Amanda Cook Turner For Her Tresses After Birth Of Baby No. 2
Kate Middleton, the duchess of Cambridge is now on maternity leave. Her last official visit before she gives birth to her second child was with her husband Prince William on March 27. The couple had three engagements for the day which started off with a tour of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, a place for community learning and social research. The second visit was at Christ Church in Gypsy Hill. The third and final stop was XLP mobile recording studio at an estate in nearby Sydenham.
The fashion icon is known for her fabulous hair. When Kate would go to the hospital she would have not only her trusted medical team by her side but also once the child is born, the couple will do a photo op for the world press and the plethora of fans that would be waiting for them to give a glimpse of their newborn. This time around too, the coupe will seek the services of Amanda Cook Tucker, the pregnant royal’s hair stylist, according to People. Amanda had created the relaxed, feminine waves for Kate to greet journalists on the steps of the Lindo Wing at London's St. Mary's Hospital in July 2013 when Prince George was born.
Kate and the royal family parted ways with her previous stylist James Pryce who was responsible for Kate’s flawless wedding 'do and for propelling her brunette blowout to world fame during her North American tour. James had reportedly been endorsing his work on the Duchess through his Twitter and Facebook accounts which didn’t go down well with the royal family as there was a breach of trust. Though Kate still visits the Richard Ward Salon in Chelsea for hair colour, she loves the 53-year-old’s glossy blow dries that hold.
Tucker has been the royal's go-to hairstylist of choice ever since she went on a royal tour with Prince William to Asia in 2012 where she gave Middleton a heat proof hair that defied the humid weather in Asia. The pregnant royal gets her hair done by Amanda from the luxury of her home. The trusted stylist has also been cutting Prince William and Prince Harry’s hair since they were kids. Amanda’s ex-husband Neville Tucker had royal connections. He owned a Knightsbridge salon that held the Royal Warrant from 1980-1994, working closely with the Queen’s hairdresser, Charles Martyn.
Meanwhile, a royal source told People that Kate has decided to take a longer maternity leave this time. She wants to spend time with her two kids to experience the bond. “She felt she came back too soon last time. She wants to have that [family] and enjoy it with George and the new baby.” Besides, Canadian author Margaret Atwood is not impressed by Middleton’s style. The 75-year-old author told this at an event in the Victoria and Albert Museum last month.
