Kate Middleton’s Parents to contribute 6-figure dowry to Royal Wedding
The parents of commoner Royal Wedding bride-to-be, Kate Middleton to give a 6-figure contribution for their daughter’s wedding
A senior aide at the St. James Palace has told Vanity Fair that Kate Middleton’s parents are breaking the Palace tradition and are set on giving a 6-figure contribution for their daughter’s highly anticipated Royal Wedding.
"It is something they absolutely wanted to do, and William graciously accepted," the unidentified source was quoted as telling Vanity Fair, according to UsMagazine.
Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, used to work for the airline industry for years before they founded Party Pieces, described by UsMagazine as a party supply company that had also once employed the future-bride.
The wedding said UsMagazine will reportedly cost approximately $10 million.
Kate’s parents have played a big role on how the she has grown up to be a nice lady that she is now.
"Kate's feet are still on the ground, largely because of Michael," according to a friend of the Middleton family, adding, “"He doesn't get too swept up in the grandeur of her new life, and Kate loves him for that."
The Royal Wedding is set on April 29 and the preparations have started after the engagement was announced in November last year.
