Kate Upton A Greek Goddess Of War For ‘Game Of War: Fire Age’ New Advert
Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton and girlfriend to Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander donned a Greek goddess look as Athena in her new commercial for video game "Game Of War: Fire Age." One of the highest-grossing video games has chosen the 22-year-old Upton to star in its first-ever global marketing campaign.
In the new advertisement, Upton walked through a live battle field where soldiers are engaged in the dueling combat with a fire-breathing dragon. Upton was wearing a white gown with a thigh-high slit, complete with some nice gold cordings for her belt and shiny gold accessory on her shoulder, arm, and legs. Upton seductively invites players to try the game.
According to Forbes, the video game has allotted a massive $40 million for their new marketing campaign. Upton's appearance is reportedly not only restricted to the high-budget commercial but also in the actual video game. Fans of the game get to see the Sports Illustrated model as an avatar within the game. Upton, in her character "Athena," is the player's host, who lures them to finish missions in the video game.
In an email Upton sent to Adweek, Upton said she is thrilled to become a part of the new advertisement for "Game Of War: Fire Age." "I love playing the part of Athena," Upton said. "She is such bad-ass character, commanding armies, slaying hydra, charging into battle; the work shows how much fun it is, and I am proud to be part of it," Upton added. Upton also expressed her excitement in a tweet.
Upton's appearance in the advertisement has received mixed responses from people. One said that Upton has beautifully acted out Athena's role in the campaign. Another one said that Upton's stint in the video game is her finest work since her nude photo leak.
"Game Of War: Fire Age" is available for free download on Apple Store and Google Play Store. The video game boasts an immense community from all over the world.
