Katy Perry brought just the song 'Part of Me' on the actual 'American Idol' stage and the rest of its army. Sum: it was about hot girls reporting for duty!

Katy performed her smash song during the results night of the show and somehow disappointed some fans because it was pre-taped. She did the performance a day before the live show.

It turned out the singer was emerging from smoke, and all her army dancers started appearing one by one.

Katy then dropped like a bomb on the stage wearing her sexy camo outfit but the weird purple hair locks. Her performance this year was way different from her 'Idol' performance last year, when she came with the outer space look for the song 'E.T.'

One thing is sure: pre-taped or not, Katy Perry does not fail to surprise everyone with the stage production and looks that she renders.

It was not the best of her vocal power, probably due to a sickness that occured several days ago.
