Katy Perry on the Prowl Days After Divorce?

Days after Hollywood got shocked with the divorce of kooky couple Russell Brand and Katy Perry, another shocker has come out in the open. It appears that singer Katy Perry is back in the dating market as evidenced by her hot New Year's Eve date.

Proving that she can move on as easily as making top charting songs, Katy Perry partied all New Year's Eve and having fun while she was at it. Her ex-husband on the other hand, Russell Brand, was spending his New Year's Eve with his friends at London.

"I'm doing good. Everything is going to be better next year," shares Brand in an interview with the New York Post.

The "Arthur" actor was spotted leaving the Savoy Hotel with his friends, including the ever charming singer, Florence Welch. If he was casually flirting or not, depends on how people react to it, then Katy Perry was openly flirting at the other side of the world as well.

The "Fireworks" singer spent her New Year's Eve at the Soho House located at West Hollywood. Her divorce with Russell Brand was not one to destroy the end of her year. Instead the singer had one hell of a great time.

"Katy was in a private room with a group and she seemed to be in a great mood," shares an eyewitness to HollwoodLife.com.

"She spent most of the night dancing and laughing with friends. One wouldn't have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall." added the source in the same post.

That alone may not be proof enough that the singer is indeed unaffected by Russell Brand, or mainly "the one that got away," but indeed her face remained all smiles during the New Year's Eve party.

"After midnight Katy and a male friend got on the dance floor, twirling each other around and dancing holding hands. She looked like she was having a great time," shares the eyewitness.

Who can blame her for wanting to have a good time? Katy Perry may be out on the prowl but heck she's divorced. Maybe people could give the gal a break since her heart got broken by Brand already.
