Emma Watson took a lot of guts to star in a film way out of her good girl image. For one, the "Bling Ring" star took inspiration from one of the most influential television shows in the US. "Keeping up with the Kardashians" helped out Emma Watson greatly in keeping in touch with her inner Nikki.

Former "Harry Potter" star, Emma Watson is ready to shed the goody-two shoes image that she'd already starred in a bad-ass film, "The Bling Ring." While the physical transformation was quite easy for Emma Watson, it was difficult for Emma to adapt an American accent for her British tongue. Thankfully, Emma had three fashionable inspirations for the film in "Keeping up with the Kardashians'" Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.

"I thought she did an incredible job transforming herself and she really took it seriously studying her accent," explained Sofia Coppola, "Bling Ring" director.

"I think she watched a lot of Kardashians to get a Calabasas accent," explained Coppola, adding, "And she watched Pretty Wild and she immersed herself into all of that."

The research and study did pay off quite well for Watson because great reviews have been pouring in since its debut at the Cannes Film Festival.

"She's a really good student, so she took it seriously and made it her homework," stated Coppola.

"I think she did an incredible job with the accent, it's really specific. She's such a Californian, it's very Calabasas. She did a really good job," continued Sofia.

"Bling Ring" has officially made its debut in cinemas in the US. Fans of Emma Watson better head to the cinemas and watch the former Hermione Granger ditch the bookworm look for the bad-ass vibe.

"It's just fun as an actress to get to really transform and do something that is so different from your normal life and environment," stated Emma Watson.

"I just really had fun with it," added the 23-year old Hogwarts alumni.

Hopefully, "Bling Ring" won't be the only film that is set to touch Emma's inner bad girl. Judging from Emma's recent interview, starring as Nikki won't be the last.

"I think definitely. I'm 23-years-old now and I'm trying to take on more adult roles," explained Watson, adding, "So I think it's just different. But I'm growing up and I'm changing, so it's kind of a natural, organic progression."
