'Kim Kardashian West: Selfish' Makes It On The USA Today Best Selling Books List
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West can now add “Best-Selling Author” among her rapidly growing list of achievements. After just a week on the shelf, Kim’s coffee table book entitled “Kim Kardashian West: Selfish” has made it to the USA Today Best Selling Books List for the week of May 7-14, 2015.
Kim’s selfie book, which came out officially on May 5, debuted on the USA Today Best Selling Books List on number 32. After just a week out on book stores, Kim is not exactly a rookie on the best sellers list but this is the first time she has made it on the list alone.
According to a report on the USA Today website, Kim and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian have already posted a best seller back in 2010. The sisters released a collaboration entitled “Kardashian Konfidential.” Their joint effort did one better than “Selfish” by making it to the 31st spot. It remains to be seen if Kim’s solo effort will be able to surpass her previous best-seller in the coming weeks.
“Kim Kardashian West: Selfish” is a compilation of selfies taken by Kim over the span of more than a decade. Through the photos, she chronicles her life and shows it the way that she wants to be seen and not through the eyes of the Paparazzi or TV cameras.
Originally started as a pet project for her husband, Kanye West, the private gift evolved into a very public offering for her fans. The 352 page book features thousands of selfies ranging from fun and candid moments with friends and family to very intimate bedroom and naked selfies originally meant only for her husband’s eyes.
Apart from Kim, another TV personality made her mark as a best-selling author this week. Melissa Rivers landed on number 15 with her book entitled “The Book of Joan,” Melissa’s book is a memoir dedicated to her late mother, Joan Rivers.
The USA Today Best Selling Books List is assembled weekly. The books are ranked based on data collected from various outlets that sell books including online retailers, bookstore chains, independent bookstores and other similar establishments. The top 5 books for the week of May 7-14 are as follows:

2. “The Girl on the Train” -- Paula Hawkins
3. “The Heir” -- Keira Cass
