Kit Harington: Game of Thrones Actor to Star in HBO's Sports Mockumentary Titled 7 Days in Hell with Brooklyn Nine-Nine Star Andy Samberg
"Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington, who portrays Eddard Stark's (Sean Bean) bastard son Jon Snow in the HBO TV series, will be starring in another HBO production which is a sports mockumentary titled "7 Days in Hell." Joining Kit Harington in HBO's upcoming comedy movie is "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor Andy Samberg.
According to the Deadline report, "Girls" writer and co-executive producer Murray Miller will work on "7 Days in Hell" based on the writer's original concept with actor Andy Samberg. "The sports mockumentary stars Samberg and Harington as fierce tennis rivals in an epic, seven-day match at 2004 Wimbledon," the Deadline report reads.
The Hollywood Reporter further revealed that actor Andy Samberg, 35, will portray a superstar tennis bad boy named Aaron Williams while British actor Kit Harington, 27, will portray a young Andy Murray-type tennis prodigy named Charles Lloyd.
Jake Szymanksi of "Saturday Night Live" is set to take a seat in the director's chair for the HBO sports mockumentary with Andy Samberg, Murray Miller and David Bernad of "Enlightened" as the executive producers and Jonathan Buss of "The Sixties" will be the co-executive producer.
The other celebrities confirmed to appear in the HBO sports mockumentary are Fred Armisen of "Portlandia," "Girls" actress Lena Dunham, Will Forte of "Last Man of Earth," "Selfie" star Karen Gillan, Howie Mandel of "Deal or No Deal," Michael Sheen, June Squibb, Mary Steenburgen of "Curb Your Enthusiasm and TV anchor Soledad O'Brien as herself. In the Deadline report, the rivalry between Andy Samberg and Kit Harington's characters will intensify because of Karen Gillan's supermodel character Lily.
The 26-year-old Scottish actress will portray Charles Lloyd's (Kit Harington) childhood friend who created a sex tape with Aaron Williams (Andy Samberg). "Steenburgen plays Charles' psychotic and controlling mother, while Forte plays a tennis historian," the Deadline report revealed.
The character details on the other celebrities confirmed to appear in HBO's "7 Days in Hell" are not available yet. However, more cast members are still anticipated to be included in the upcoming HBO movie project. Meanwhile, the Entertainment Weekly report suggests that some actual tennis players could make an appearance in "7 Days in Hell" like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova.
