'The Knick' Season 2 Spoilers: Dr. Thackery will be back at the hospital; New character posters released

Dr. Thackery is ready to make some new discoveries at the hospital in “the Knick” Season 2. The trailer of the show and posters of the characters tease elements of the plot of the popular TV series. [Spoiler alert]

After his cocaine addiction, Dr. John W. Thackery (Clive Owen) will now have a heroin addiction. The trailer video of the next season of the TV series shows the character taking the drug. John was previously given heroin at a rehab facility to help him overcome his drug addiction problem.

The hospital board appears to have not moved its operation, after having incurred heavy losses. John will face new challenges as he returns to the hospital and its operating table. His colleague Dr. Bertie Chickering Jr. (Michael Angarano) appears to be losing his faith in John, as he believes that John’s problems associated with his drug problems will return eventually.

John, however, believes that he is “better than ever” and is ready to “make history.” John is supported in his new quest by Dr. Algernon Edwards (Andre Holland). It is unclear if Algernon will continue to make use of the hospital’s basement to continue the treatment of his patients. Algernon can be seen stepping down into the basement in the trailer.

In the first season of “The Knick,” John had allowed the treatment of all wounded patients irrespective of their skin colour. New methods being used at the hospital in Season 2 are expected to aid in helping the patients. One change that will be introduced in the show is the use of a camera in the operation theatre.

New posters of some of the major characters on the show have been posted on Collider. Apart from the doctors of the hospital, the character posters include that of Herman Barrow (Jeremy Bobb), Lucy Elkins (Eve Hewson) and Tom Cleary (Chris Sullivan).

Te report notes that Everett Gallinger (Eric Johnson) got a “raw deal” in the poster and looks “sinister.” The character lost his child in the previous season due to his negligence. The highly anticipated premiere episode of “The Knick” Season 2 will air on Oct. 16^th on Cinemax.
